Your NTI for Geography focuses on religion as a major element of culture. Watch the video below and answer the following questions on notebook paper. 1) what are some differences you notice about the daily Iives and living conditions of the kids. 2) note differences in clothing, food, etc. 3) what are some rituals performed by each child and their family as they worship? 4) Is it obvious to you what religion each child belongs to? What led you to your conclusions? Your NTI assignment for math comes from Lesson 5-3 in our workbooks. We've been studying how to find, apply, and compare unit rates. When we divide to find unit rates, we are actually writing an equivalent ratio! Today, you will use a multiplication table, double number lines, and tape diagrams to help write other equivalent ratios. Go to page 54-55 in your math workbook and work through Lesson 5-3 on equivalent ratios. Be sure to look at the learning target! I have included the definition for equivalent ratios below so you can get started. I have also linked some helpful videos to watch as you work. After working through examples 1-3, complete the Quick Check for each. *if you left your workbook at school, you can print the pages below. Or copy on notebook paper and staple into your workbook when we return. DLT: we will use equivalent ratios and rates to solve real world and mathematical problems. Equivalent Ratios- similar to equivalent fractions, they express the same relationship between two numbers. example: 5/10 is equal to 1/2
